[livejournal.com profile] hotmarscube wanted to know why I hadn't posted the summer movies I was looking forward to. I told him I was waiting for the EW Summer Movie review issue - because they listed ALL the movies, so I knew what to look out for.

So, here's the list.

May 2 - Ironman - could be fun (I'm totally fine with mindless action flicks).

May 9 - Speed Racer - I have nephews. I think this one is a given.

May 16 - The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian - whoo baby - have you SEEN Prince Caspian???

May 22 - Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - it's INDY! What more needs to be said?

June 6 - Kung Fu Panda - I have nieces and nephews. Another given.

June 27 - Wall*E - Forget the nieces and nephews, this is Pixar!!

June 27 - Wanted - well.. it's a maybe. I want to see some trailers first.

July 2 - Hancock - hmm... it's Will Smith, it's the 4th weekend, so most likely.

July 11 - Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D - it's got dinosaurs .. so it's a possibility. Especially if I can talk [livejournal.com profile] hotmarscube into it. I'm sure he'll jump at the 3D T-rexes :)

July 11 - Hellboy II: The Golden Army - The 1st was great, so looking forward to this one.

July 18 - The Dark Knight - Batman! It's definitely Superhero Summer that's for sure! I liked the last one with Bale, so I'm up for this one.

July 18 - Mamma Mia - ABBA! I love the musical, so this is high on want to sees :)

July 18 - Space Chimps - animated. again, I've got nieces and nephews to take.

July 25 - The X-files: I want to believe - and boy do I!! I'm hoping for a pre-comic con sneak preview.

Aug 1 - The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor - no question, more MUMMY!!

Aug 15 - Star Wars: The Clone Wars - animated. hmmm... curious, but it's Star Wars, it has my money :sigh:

Aug 15 - Tropic Thunder - Ben Siller war movie comedy...hmm... I can see the laughs :)

Aug 29 - Babylon A.D. - Vin Diesel and postapocalyptic...hmm.. yea....

Looking back at the list - man, what's with July???!! Too many there I think, which is going to make the studios unhappy when 5 days later, a new pic that trumps yours. I think you need two weeks, at least, between big pics. And this year, May and June are very lighter.

So, there might be more, there might be less as I'm easily swayed by friends and trailers. But so far, looks to be a busy superhero summer!

Puppy Dogs of Excitement!

Image

And from the looks of it, she'd have puppies all over the place! Serious excitement!

T-rexes in 3D? I don't know... might give me nightmares.

July is going to be way too packed... half the movies I won't get to see until August. And some I may just have to wait for the DVD.

"Iron Man" -I can't tell you how many collecors (including myself) have said "I didn't collect 'Iron Man' when I was young, but I still have to see it". Maybe it’s the exposure the character got in the “Avengers”, maybe it’s trailer…dunno, but I think I ‘m going to see it if time and baby (who is not here yet) allow.

I thought they were the "Dancing Dogs of Delight". BTW, how many DDD's are there in the scale? Inquiring mathematicians (OK, just me) want to know.
